Glyne V Dunnah (Director)
The Radiance School of Modern Dancing was the brainchild of Major Glyne Dunnah while he was serving as the Commanding Officer of the Service and Support Battalion of the Antigua & Barbuda Defense Force. What started as a simple idea to host a dinner and ball for his Unit’s Christmas party, blossomed into what is now one of Antigua and Barbuda’s finest Ballroom Dance schools. In January of 2000, Major Dunnah made a decision that he was going to spread the Ballroom Dance culture island wide, and established the Radiance Dance Studio in his quest to fulfill his dreams. His keen interest in learning the Latin style dances eventually prompted him to focus his attention on that rhythmic blend of dancing, and with the help of co-founders Leslie Dunnah, and close friends Donald Martin and Mrs. Paula Sweeney, the Radiance School of modern Dancing was formed on February 2, 2003. Over the years the popularity of the school has grown. They have been invited to perform at a number of Social events and Gala Awards. Through its affiliation with the Cultural department the school plans to work more closely with youths to spread the Art form in Antigua and Barbuda. An eye for details on the dance floor has also contributed to the success of the students in previous years. With dedication, perseverance, and discipline, present and prospective students can be sure that the high standards of the Radiance School of modern Dancing will be upheld in the years to come. Glyne has expended to Saint Thomas location and class schedule for 2025 is TBD!
